GREAT CRONULLA RESTAURANTS, GREAT BEACHES, GREAT LIFESTYLE!

Cronulla has arguably some of Sydney’s finest beaches and these beaches make Cronulla a popular tourist attraction, as well as bringing people from surrounding suburbs to the “shire” on a regular basis. Apart from the beaches Cronulla has a bustling shopping precinct not forgetting some excellent Cronulla Restaurants that cater for both casual and fine dining and for those who just can’t drag themselves away from the sun and sand to take advantage of the many Cronulla Restaurants, no need to worry there are plenty of cafes and an assortment of fast food outlets.

As stated earlier, Cronulla attracts many beachgoers from all over the Greater Sydney area. Cronulla’s main beach features a long stretch of sand that runs from Boat Harbour all the way to North Cronulla; at the southern end you will find rock pools and another sandy beach that is South Cronulla. There are eight beaches of the Cronulla coastline and these are from north to south: Boat Harbour, Wanda Beach, Elouera Beach, North Cronulla Beach, Cronulla Beach, Blackwoods Beach, Shelly Beach and Oak Park.
Some of the locals have given unofficial names to certain parts of some of the beaches, such as The Alley, a section between Cronulla Beach and North Cronulla, The Wall, which can be found between North Cronulla and Elouera and Green Hills, located to the north of Wanda, Sandshoes, which is located near the mouth of the Port Hacking estuary, Voodoo Reef and The Point. Cronulla beaches are perfect recreational areas for activities such as, swimming, surfing, body boarding, bodysurfing and other water sports, or just lazing away, enjoying the warm summer sun and working on that golden tan.

Sitting on the headlands, you can observe Shark Island which is just off Cronulla Beach, and it is a somewhat famous location known for its surfing and body boarding, and is also the site of the annual “Shark Island Challenge Shark Island” a body boarding contest that brings contestants from far and wide. For the family a nice protected swimming area is Gunnamatta Bay and the swimming baths off Gunnamatta Park. Close by, Port Hacking is a popular location for high powered aquatic sports like waterskiing and wakeboarding.

After a long and hopefully relaxing day laying on the beach, it is a fair bet you have a healthy appetite and you really don’t feel like cooking dinner tonight do you? Well problem solved, whatever “tickles the taste buds” you will find a Cronulla Restaurant that will suite you’re every desire. Cronulla Restaurants have a reputation that extends far and wide and draws people to their favorite Cronulla Restaurants time and time again. From Pizza to fine dining you are sure to be impressed with the Cronulla Restaurant precinct.
